Bourcier Martinot Macon Chardonnay 2021
Bourcier Martinot Macon Chardonnay is made in the Maconnais village of Davayé. The terrain in this region is dominated by Mount Pouilly, the soil is comprised of clay and limestone, and the vineyards have a southern exposure. The vineyards are certified Haute Valeur Environnemental level 3, a certification system unique to France (3 being the highest quality). This means that the vineyards and wines are produced in the most sustainable way possible with no herbicides and using only natural fertilizers. This wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit and fresher side of the wine. With hints of citrus and white stone fruit on the palate, this beautifully balanced wine resembles is an excellent example of the Mâcon appellation.
