Domaine Rimbert For Me Formidable Merlot

For this Merlot, Winemaker Jean-Marie Rimbert uses grapes grown by his neighbor and former apprentice. Both men follow all of the natural wine tenets: Grapes are hand harvested, and fermented traditionally with indigenous yeast. The wine spends 12 months of elevage in 400 liter wooden tanks and is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with a small addition of sulfur. Medium bodied with just ripe, crunchy blackberries and cherries. Tannins, acid and alcohol are all in sync making this wine pretty easy drinking.
