Lamoresca Bianco
The Lamoresca Bianco is made from Vermentino grapes farmed by Filippo and Nancy Rizzo.
Their pristine fruit and lo-fi winemaking techniques produce and wonderfully textural example of the variety.
Vermentino can be neutral at times, sometime bland or insipid. Not the case here. Wild fermented with a few days on skins and released after a good rest in bottle - it takes Vermentino into delicious new territory.
It's glassy, saline and cut with a nervy acidity. More time in bottle will reveal more levels of detail and flavour, if you can keep your hands off it, that is.
