Seghesio Zinfandel 2021

Seghesio Family Vineyards was established in 1895 when Italian immigrant and winemaker Edoardo Seghesio planted his first Zinfandel vineyard in what is now Seghesio’s Home Ranch Vineyard in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. They largely sold their wine to larger wineries until the fourth generation decided to bottle their wines under their own label in the 1980s. On the nose, a bouquet of cedar, spice, and sun-ripened blackberries. Bold and richly textured on the palate with notes of wild blueberries, plum, and black currants. A light dusting of tannins provides structure and a long finish that is rounded out by fresh juicy acidity.
