Il Torchio Stralunato
Winemaking: Grapes are from vines in silica/limestone soils. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, “macerates for one week on the skins, aged in large neutral oak”, unfined, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Light amber in colour, with aromas of apricot, nectarine, orange marmalade, wildflowers, honey, a trace of caramel and clove. Mandarin orange, nectarine, apricot, citrus blossom, lemon and honey glide atop light green tea tannins and fresh acidity. Baked pear and a hint of peach linger on the nutty finish. Engaging, with a delicate perspective.
