Undurraga Sparkling Brut
Viña Undurraga Estates and Winery was founded in 1885 by Mr. Francisco Undurraga in the Maipo Valley, in the southwest outskirts of Santiago, Chile. The founder’s vision was to grow the best grapes possible to produce the best wines possible at affordable prices to supply initially the local market, but then also to offer his wines internationally. And indeed in 1903 Undurraga became the first “New World” wine to be imported into the United States. This sparkling wine is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. In the glass, it is pale yellow in color with notes of yellow apple and quince on the nose. Refreshing its well-balanced with consistent and delicate bubbles and a dry finish.
