Casal de Ventozela is located in Mogege, Vila Nova de Fa malicão, in the heart of the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. The estate has taken on a new life in recent years, but still remains a family business. Vinho Verde is in fact a place, and the grapes in this wine are Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura. Vinho Verde translated means “green wine” but really, Vinho Verde’s are young wines, bottled three to six months after fermentation. They often will have a slight bubble to them, but not like the effervescence of a true sparkling wine.  These are fun, fresh quaffers that are often lower in ABV and meant to be enjoyed with friends - truly a picnic wine.  This Vinho Verde has a slight fizz, is dry but with mouthwatering acidity, and fruits like melon and grapefruit that is complimented with a crisp touch of lime.
