Weingut Brand Red

The brothers Brand, Daniel and Jonas, have quickly brought attention to the far northern Pfalz, this cool-climate, limestone-rich, yet otherwise overlooked region. In the north, in the Brand brother’s village of Bockenheim, things are a bit quieter than the historic and gilded estates of the south, which give way to a quieter, grittier, working agricultural feel in the north. This red is a blend of Blauer Portugieser (which has absolutely nothing to do with Portugal, nor is it from there.) and Cabernet Franc. This is light bodied, chillable, fruit-forward and chuggable. Pair with friends and picnics.
