Thee & Thou GLHF
John Donaghue was working as a skyscraper building engineer in San Francisco when he found his way into wine. He got his start when he got mixed up with Gideon Beinstock of Clos Saron. He remained working at Clos Saron for several years, working closely with Gideon and learning every aspect of winemaking, from the vineyard to the bottle. Using low-intervention techniques, neutral oak, and native fermentations, the wines of Thee & Thou are complex, balanced, and lively, with the structure and acid to age for years to come.
Garnacha 56%, Graciano 38%, Albarino 6%. The fruit is sourced from the Terra Alta Vineyard in Clements Hills, a sub-appellation of Lodi AVA. The vines are roughly 20 years old, planted on sandy clay loam soils and farmed organically. Due to the range of ripening times, the grapes are picked and fermented separately before blending and matured for 12 months in neutral oak. The 2021 'Good Luck, Have Fun' bottling is juicy, vibrant, and fresh - chill down a bottle and enjoy!
