Terrazze Dell'Etna Carusu Etna Rosso

Terrazze dell’Etna is not your average Sicilian winery, it’s a full-blown lava-fueled revival project launched in 2008 by Palermo-born engineer Nino Bevilacqua. Set across 36 dramatic hectares of terraces (yes, actual terraces carved into lava rock), the estate is surrounded by olive groves, cherry trees, and thick chestnut forests. Everything is done by hand, from pruning to picking, and farming practices are integrated to keep biodiversity buzzing. This is 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio. Elegant and spiced in the nose, with delicate notes of varnish and ripe red fruit and spice. The tannins are round and soft with a slightly ethereal finish.
