In the steepest part of the Thüngersheim Johannisberg there is a small gully that has always been called the Rothlauf. The stony soil of the lower shell limestone is interspersed with red sandstone, which pushes to the surface here and there. Buntsandstein gives the wines a very individual signature: the wines of this VDP.Grosse Lage® are filigree, elegant, straightforward and long-lasting.
