Gramona Aliances La Cuvee 2021 Corpinnat
Gramona’s history is long and storied with the property being a quality reference point in the Penedès for decades. As far back as 1816 a member of the family has been making wine in the vicinity of San Sadurní d’Anoia. The Gramona name began to be put on bottles of “Cava Champagne” in 1921. Today the house is one of the few remaining family-owned estates in the region, most having been acquired up by large companies in the last half century.
Aliances is a group of 13 biodynamically-certified growers covered 450 hectares in the Alt Penedès who contribute to this bottling of 50% Xarel-lo, 30% Macabeo and 20% Parellada. On the nose, with a medium intensity, it presents elegant floral notes accompanied by aromas of stone fruit, such as peach and apricot. We also smell golden apple, lemon peel and pineapple. Aromas of breadcrumbs, almonds and some balsamic notes of fennel and laurel are present. On the palate, it offers a friendly, medium-bodied entry that embraces the senses, with an invigorating carbonation with a crisp, crunchy texture. Citrus, apple and almond aromas return on the after taste.
