Neyers Carneros Chardonnay 2020

The Carneros District Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from the Yamakawa Vineyard southwest of Sonoma, the Sangiacomo Family’s Green  Acres vineyard further west and south, and the El Novillero Vineyard still further west, at the western limit of the AVA. The fermentation relies 100% on native wild yeast, maximizing the complexity of the finished wine. This is how Chardonnay has been produced in Burgundy for centuries. After fermentation, the new wine is allowed to age on the yeast lees until bottling. The aromas are immediately attractive with a lemon/lime zest quality and the flavors beckon you in with their softness and intrigue. It’s medium-to full-bodied with bright acidity, spiced apple flavors, and a subtle toasty component.
