Cantina La-Vis Pinot Nero

$23.00

Cantine La-Vis is a cooperative winery founded in 1948 whose members farm vineyards in the cooler alpine foothills where elevation, diurnal temperature swings, and good drainage favor elegant red wines. The Pinot Nero grape, of French origin, enjoys an ideal habitat in various areas of Trentino. Grown mainly in the foothill vineyards of Lavis and Giovo, it reaches full maturity only after a long period on the vine. Light ruby red color. Intense bouquet with hints of sweet and maraschino cherry, and a pleasant and characteristic lingering aroma of forest fruits. It is delicate and fruity, with dense, silky tannins. Pair it with roasted poultry (duck, quail), mushroom risotto, pork tenderloin, or lightly spiced charcuterie, it complements foods that match its moderate structure without overwhelming it.
