Chateau Grimard Bordeaux

$19.00

Chateau Grimard is an 8-hectare, three-generation-old family estate located in the commune of Lugon, just outside the Fronsac region on the right bank of Bordeaux. The vineyard lies on a south-east slope, which is ideal for attaining full ripeness. The vines average 33 years of age. Chateau Grimard is a classic Bordeaux wine, offering a deep red-purple color, a lush bouquet, and ripe plummy cassis fruit with soft structure. Grimard is made to be enjoyed rather than studied: ripe plum and blackberry, a little earth and tobacco, soft tannins, and a clean finish. There is no oak ambition here getting in the way, just clear varietal fruit.
