Chateau Le Boscq Saint-Estephe

$63.00

This estate dates back to the 18th century and is located on magnificent soils alongside the Gironde estuary and dominated by a majestic residence, Chateau le Boscq is one of the great classics of the Saint-Estephe appellation. The estuary, which acts as a natural regulator, mitigates the effects of cold winters and very hot summers. The vineyard therefore manages to escape devastating frosts in 2017 and 1991, and also the 2003 heatwave. Le Boscq elegantly combines the power of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, with the delicacy of Merlot. On the palate, black fruit notes of black cherry, cassis and blackberry. Dry and concentrated, the wine culminates in a particularly long, lingering, seductive finish, characterised by hints of cedar and cigar box.
