Chateau Reysson Cru Bourgeious Superieur Haut-Medoc

$35.00

Located at the summit of a magnificent plateau, the original estate dates back to the 17th century. The vineyard is planted on soils comprising clay, limestone and fossilized shells. On this quite unique Medoc terroir, Merlot is seen to thrive and develops its true finesse. Château Reysson is awarded Cru Bourgeois Supérieur status in 2020. The color is bright and quite deep. The nose is fresh and fruity, with a hint of black cherry. Initially direct, the palate is linear and taught, coated in fine, balanced tannins. It culminates into a long finish, where the fruity and mineral expression typical of the clay-limestone terroir of Château Reysson stretches out. This is a blend of 80% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petite Verdot.
