Saint Prefert Cotes du Rhone Beatus Ille 2021

Starting in the 2021 vintage, the "Beatus Ille" has about 10-20% of Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the blend. Most of the rest of the blend comes from a parcel called La Lionne just on the border of the appellation, the only barrier between the two is a line of juniper trees. Beatus Ille is mostly Grenache blended with about 15% Cinsault. The Cotes-du-Rhone is the only red that is 100% destemmed and fermented and aged in cement tanks. This is everything we want in a full bodied CDR for the cooler weather, and the fact that it’s got a little bit of big brother CDP (Chateauneuf du Pape) included makes us love it even more.
