Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Etna Rosato

$29.00

Marco de Grazia's Terre Nere is one of Etna's benchmark estates, working old vines on the volcano's north slope between 600 and 900 meters, high enough that harvest can run into October. This rosato comes from the same Nerello Mascalese that goes into the estate's celebrated reds, and it shows. The color is a pale salmon, but the aromatics are anything but simple: wild strawberry and pomegranate, rose petal, peach and blood orange, and a savory brush of Mediterranean herb. Underneath runs a smoky, ashen volcanic minerality and a saline snap that recalls oyster shell. Think of it as a rosé with the soul of a serious red.
