The Curator White Blend

$15.00

The Curator wines are hand-crafted by cellar-master and chief vineyard wizard Adi Badenhorst who over the years, has discovered, nurtured and acquired a collection of old unique parcels throughout the wild west coast of Southern Africa. The grapes are primarily from bush vines, grown throughout the Swartland and West Coast of South Africa on granite and slate soils. Hand picked  and sorted, the grapes are then chilled overnight before being pressed to settling tanks overnight. The following day the juice is drawn off into fermentation tanks. After six months blending begins, with multiple rounds of tastings, dinners and spirited opinion sharing before the final blend is
decided. Chenin Blanc makes up the largest portion of the blend, serving as the
base and backbone and providing fruit forwardness. The Chardonnay and Viognier components add texture and richness with a bit of spice. The wine features a  remarkable texture alongside playful aromas of dried peaches, apricots, and ripe citrus
fruits. Medium-bodied but with mouthwatering acidity, and offers a lengthy, slightly spicy finish.
